How does it work
Once the chemical peel is applied to the skin, it creates a controlled chemical burn with acids that removes the top layer of the skin by causing it to shed, skin grows back smoother and softer while helping lift off pigments and help with tone.
The following acids are used:
Glycolic acid: treats hyper-pigmentation, aging and texture
Salicylic acid: acne and improves tone
What to expect
Your technician will wash your face and apply the peel on to your skin.
You might experience prickling, burning, peeling, some may not experience peeling.
How can you prepare for a chemical peel
Prior to your chemical peel treatment, you’ll undergo a complimentary consultation with one of our nurses. We’ll also evaluate whether you’re a suitable candidate and customize the peel intensity accordingly.
Before a chemical peel, you must inform the specialist about your medication history and cannot:
Use any type of retinol for at least 48 hours
Have been on Accutane (an acne treating medicine) for at least six months
After Care
To prevent skin irritation, apply sunscreen and a basic moisturizer. Refrain from tanning your skin for two weeks before and after treatment, and avoid direct sun exposure during this time.

A physical sunblock should have the term “broad-spectrum” on the label, meaning it protects against the sun’s UVA and UVB rays. SPF 30 or above is highly recommended.
