Procedure

The numbing cream will be applied  on the treatment area, following the fraxel laser treatment. During the treatment, you will feel a warm tingling sensation on the skin. After treatment, patients will experience feelings of tightness, dryness and warmth.

Redness and swelling are common, but the degree of redness and swelling varies from person to person. These concerns  will subside after 3 to 5 days. Patients may also experience skin peeling and dryness within 3-14 days after the treatment. Generally, moisturizers can minimize the appearance of flaking or peeling. When the skin is regenerating and peeling, sunscreen should be applied every day to prevent exposure to the sun during the healing process.
