What is PRP

PRP facial (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a rejuvenating anti-aging treatment utilizing blood to stimulate collagen and elastin production, and enhance the skin with growth factors. When applied topically post microneedling, PRP further aids in anti-aging benefits.

PRP offers a natural alternative for those averse to chemical injections, suitable for all skin types and tones. Originally used by doctors to heal injuries, PRP’s cell-renewal abilities have earned it popularity, including with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, often referred to as the “vampire facial.”

This non-invasive treatment stimulates collagen production, diminishes fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, evens out skin tone, and firms sagging skin, revitalizing dull skin for a youthful, radiant appearance.

Moreover, PRP is effective in treating hair loss in both men and women. By stimulating hair follicles and accelerating hair renewal, PRP increases blood flow to existing follicles, promotes new hair growth, enhances hair thickness, and reduces hair loss.

The growth factors in PRP can help with the following

  • Hair regrowth
  • Dark under eye pigments
  • Wrinkles and lines
  • Minor acne scarring

How does it work

Blood is collected from a vein and placed into a medical device known as a centrifuge, which separates the platelets from the rest of your blood.

The plasma obtained contains abundant growth factors, stem cells, and platelets from your own body. There is minimal risk of adverse reactions because the material used is derived from your own biological resources.

What to expect

Your nurse will cleanse your face and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure maximum comfort. Your plasma will then be loaded into an injectable device with a disposable tip, and your nurse will administer the plasma through injections into your skin.

Procedure

Initially, we draw a patient’s blood and place it in a centrifuge to extract the plasma, often referred to as “liquid gold.” This plasma is a highly concentrated growth factor, containing approximately 3 to 5 times the number of platelets found in normal circulating blood.

After applying numbing cream, the PRP is injected into the dermis layer of targeted areas using an injection gun. This process stimulates collagen growth, regenerates tissues, and promotes smoother and firmer skin texture.

How can I prepare for my Vampire facial?

  • Avoid all blood thinning medications and herbal supplements 7 days prior to your appointment.
  • Please notify your provider if you are taking any prescribed blood thinners or statins for a medical condition.

It is highly recommended to use post care bio mask every day for 3-5 days after the treatment to ensure better healing process.

FAQs

WHAT IS VAMPIRE FACIAL?

Vampire facial is one of the safest and non-invasive treatment that stimulate collagen production, reducing the appearance of fine lines, winkles, scar and scars, uneven skin tone and sagging skin. Rejuvenate dull skin making it look youthful and glowy.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO SEE THE RESULT?

It normally takes 7-14 days to see the best result. The result normally lasts 2-3months.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

You will notice a good result with three treatments spaced every month. However, based on individual’s desired results, more treatment can be done after the first three to keep the skin rejuvenated and maximize the glow.

CAN YOU COMBINE VAMPIRE FACIAL WITH OTHER TREATMENTS?

Although the vampire facial itself is the best skin nourishing ingredients available, you can add botox or Hyaluronic acid to make it into a ‘Turbo Skin Booster’. This is based on the individual’s skin condition, treatment goals and the budget. Botox is great for shrinking pores and control sebum production, while Hyaluronic acid can help with hydrating the skin and offer complete rejuvenation.

IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME INVOLVED?

There is a little bit of downtime after getting Vampire facial. You will likely experience minor swelling immediately after your treatment and bruising can occur and may resolve in the next 5-7 days. Vampire facial should be done 2 weeks prior to travelling or any upcoming special events as this allows proper healing time. If you need to wear makeup, we recommend wait at least 48 hours.
